TUCSON, AZ – The Diamond Ventures 18th Annual El Tour Adventure 10K & 5K Run/Walk offered 272 registrants clear skies and cool temperatures early Saturday morning on September 19 at the 7:00 a.m. start.

The proceeds from the “kick-off” event for El Tour season benefit Girls on the Run Tucson (GOTR) – a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8thgrade.   The event also supports MyTeam TRIUMPH, an athletic ride-along program created for children, teens, adults and veterans who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races

The 10K and 5K courses begin and end at The Gregory School. The courses offer participants an adventurous route, mostly flat on the multi-use Rillito River Path, avoiding motor vehicle traffic on the streets. Approximately $1,200 was raised for the event beneficiary.
