TUCSON, AZ – For the 17th year, Diamond Ventures El Tour Adventure 10K & 5K Run/Walk presented by Special Olympics kicked off the El Tour season with 328 participants at the 7:00 a.m. start.

The family-friendly event was held for the benefit of Ben’s Bells Project helping all to “believe in the power of kindness.”  The event also supported myTeam Triumph, an athletic ride-along program created for children, teens, adults and veterans who would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races.

The 10K and 5K courses began and ended at The Gregory School. The courses offered participants an adventurous route, mostly flat on the multi-use Rillito River Path, avoiding motor vehicle traffic on the streets.
