Rotary clubs from around the world fight to stop Polo, El Tour one of the many fund raising tools.

The 2012 El Tour De Tucson bicycling event to be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona, USA, has been identified as a participation, meeting and social venue for the Rotarians Fellowship of Cycling to Serve, USA/Canada Chapter.

The officers and board of directors of Rotarians Fellowship of Cycling to Serve, USA/Canada Chapter, decided to promote participation in the 30th annual El Tour De Tucson for its members across the U.S. and Canada, and to develop activities during the timeframe and Arizona location for a meet-and-greet social event.

Interim vice president of the North American chapter Bill Orndorff has extended an invitation to the Rotarians Fellowship of Cycling to Serve groups in Europe and other countries to come to America and participate in the event.

Details concerning a meet-and-greet social event will be made depending on members and their partners making definite arrangements to participate.

Based on feedback concerning interest in the Tucson tour, it will be necessary to poll those planning to attend in order to get a number and schedule the get together.

Registration will not open until March and must be made through the overall organizing group in Arizona. FCS has been fortunate to tag onto the major cycling event in the U.S. Some seven Rotary clubs in the Tucson area actively participate as riders and volunteers for the event.
