TriSports.com retail store will once again host a series of bike mechanical care courses in conjunction with the 2010 El Tour de Tucson. These courses, taught by TriSports.com's lead mechanic, will prepare new cyclists how to deal with basic roadside maintenance and provide more in-depth information for riders who are more experienced.
2010 Classes are held at TriSports.com on the following dates:

El Tour 201: Get to Know Your Bike
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $10
Time: 11:00am
This introductory course is geared toward the beginner rider who is looking for general knowledge on how to keep their bike in proper working order and how to deal with on the road repairs. The 1 hour demonstration course covers the following topics:
- Pre-ride inspection checklist
- Flat and tire repair
- Bike lubrication
- Minor brake and derailleur adjustments
- On the road repairs
El Tour 201 class size is limited to 20 participants per class. Please reserve your spot early.
El Tour 202: Working on Your Bike
Duration: 2-3 hours
Cost: $25
Time: 1:00pm
This hands-on course is geared toward all levels of cyclists who are looking for greater working knowledge of how their bicycle works and how to perform minor repairs at home or on the road. This 2-3 hour course covers the following topics:
Pre-ride inspection checklist
- Flat and tire repair
- Gearing Options
- Pedal and cleat adjustments
- Frame cleaning
- Front and rear derailleur adjustments
- Brake caliper maintenance and adjustments
- Headset adjustments
- Chain measuring and replacement
- Bike lubrication
